Our primary research goals are to investigate pathomechanism of spinal cord dysfunction in association with various spine disorders and to pursue several cytological as well as biomedical basic studies. Using spinal hyperostotic mouse model and spinal cord injury models, adenovirus-mediated neurotrophin gene transfection to the spinal cord neurons as well as glial cells have been investigated cytological and immunohistochemically. As a result, more than 200 English papers were published in these 20 years which will be shortly reviewed on PuBMed and other Internet activities. Besides these, spinal hyperostosis and spondyloarthropathy are immunohistochemically investigated in our laboratory. Spinal ligament ossification and calcification are the other mainstreams of our research program in association with the governmental Investigation Committee. Recent postgraduate research program includes metabolic investigation of the spinal cord neuronal cells. We are welcoming students from all over the world.
We are welcoming you to join us in the research area of neurological and orthopaedic areas.
